On July 22, 2026, ASMO President Prof. Bernhard Egger met with the Board of Directors of the Academy of Human Medicine (aam) at their invitation. The meeting featured a very constructive exchange, with a mutual commitment to work more closely together in the future toward the goal of “stopping the increasing economization of our healthcare system.” The aam Executive Board also stated that the Swiss Medical Oath is to play an important role in its new manifesto. Furthermore, as a sign of mutual support, the logos of both associations will be published on each other’s websites. The ASMO warmly welcomes this development and looks forward to the collaboration!
